Why does Entropy say I cannot open a position when I have plenty of margin?

Accepted Answer

The most common cause is the open interest cap on the market, not your balance. Entropy's frontend decides whether a market is openable with a check equivalent to isOpenable equals not delisted and not at open interest cap. Once total open interest across all traders reaches the cap that Entropy has set for that market, new position-increasing orders are refused for everyone until open interest falls or the operator raises the cap. Reduce-only orders that close an existing position still work.

What is the open interest cap on io:ANTH?

Accepted Answer

Entropy raised the io:ANTH open interest cap to 5,000,000 USD on August 25, 2026. On August 26, 2026 around 14:00 UTC, open interest sat at roughly 3.33 million, or about 66.6 percent of that cap. These numbers move every day on a venue this new, so check the live figure through the Hyperliquid info API with a meta and asset contexts request for the io dex before relying on any published number.

Why can I see io:OAI, io:IONQ or io:NBIS but not trade them?

Accepted Answer

Those three assets are registered on the io dex but flagged as delisted, and none of them has ever recorded a trade. A delisted market fails the openable check, so no new position can be opened in it. Entropy has published no explanation for the delistings, and EntropyGuides does not speculate about the reason.

Why was my overnight order on io:SNDK rejected?

Accepted Answer

Outside the underlying's regular cash session, equity perpetuals on Entropy confine trading to a band around a reference price. For io:SNDK the limit parameter is 10, which puts the band at plus or minus 10 percent. Entropy's documentation states that orders which would execute through a band are rejected. Price your order inside the band or wait for the cash session to reopen.

What does 'Enable trading to place orders with this wallet' mean?

Accepted Answer

Entropy trades through a browser-local agent key that your master wallet has to approve with an EIP-712 signature before any order can be sent. If you cleared site data, switched browsers, or are on a new device, that key is gone and needs re-approving. Approvals last about 179 days. Your funds are unaffected by this, since the agent key cannot withdraw. Withdrawals require a separate signature from the master wallet.

Why does my Entropy deposit need ETH when I am sending USDC?

Accepted Answer

The deposit is an Arbitrum One transaction, and every Arbitrum transaction pays gas in ETH regardless of which token it moves. Entropy's own error message says your wallet requires a small amount of ETH on Arbitrum One for gas, around one cent. If your wallet holds USDC and no ETH, the deposit cannot be signed at all. Send a couple of dollars of ETH to the same address on Arbitrum One and retry.

What is the $1 fee Entropy charged me?

Accepted Answer

That is Hyperliquid's one-time account activation fee, not an Entropy fee. It is charged once per address on your first outbound action after your account is created, and it applies to every Hyperliquid frontend, not just Entropy. You pay it once and never again on that address. Deposits through the direct bridge are otherwise free, and the Circle CCTP route costs a flat 20 cents.

I deposited with Phantom and the money is gone. Where is it?

Accepted Answer

Phantom does not support Arbitrum One. Funds sent to your address on Arbitrum are still there and still yours, but Phantom will not display them and cannot spend them. Import the same seed phrase or private key into a wallet that supports Arbitrum One, such as MetaMask or Rabby, and the balance appears. Never share a seed phrase with anyone who offers to recover it for you.

How long should an Entropy deposit take?

Accepted Answer

The Circle CCTP route takes about one minute and costs a flat 20 cents. The direct bridge takes about four minutes and costs nothing beyond Arbitrum gas. If your Arbitrum transaction shows as successful on a block explorer and the balance has not appeared, the usual answer is that you chose the slower route. Check the transaction first, then wait out the four minutes before assuming something is wrong.

Why can I not withdraw my small balance from Entropy?

Accepted Answer

Withdrawals have a 5.00 USD minimum and carry a 1.00 USD bridge fee on the standard route, or about 20 cents through Circle CCTP. A balance under 5.00 USD cannot be withdrawn at all, and on a balance near the minimum the fee takes a large percentage. If you are testing the platform, fund it with an amount you can actually get back out rather than a few dollars.
